Where is Glitz & Glamour Studio located?

We are located at 935 W San Marcos Blvd, Suite 101, San Marcos, CA 92078 in North County San Diego. (Please note: We have moved from our previous Vista, CA address and now exclusively serve our wonderful clients at our San Marcos studio).

We proudly welcome clients from San Marcos, Vista, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Escondido, Encinitas, San Elijo Hills, and all across North County San Diego.

What are your business hours?

We are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (closed Sundays). Services are by appointment.

Is parking available at the studio?

Yes! Convenient, free on-site parking is available directly in front of our studio building at 935 W San Marcos Blvd.

Do you accept walk-ins or is an appointment required?

We operate primarily by appointment to guarantee personalized one-on-one attention for every client. You can easily book online 24/7 on our website or contact us directly to check same-day availability.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Cash, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay, and all major Credit and Debit Cards via Stripe.

How does the Hello Kitty Loyalty Card work?

Collect a digital stamp on every visit! After 10 stamps, you unlock a free spin at our prize wheel (redeemable in person) for discounts and complimentary beauty treats. You can also add your card directly to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

What is your cancellation and late arrival policy?

We kindly request at least 24 hours advance notice for any cancellations or reschedules. If you are running late, please text or call us as soon as possible so we can best accommodate your service.

What is the difference between Gel & Acrylic?

Gel polish is cured under a UV/LED lamp and can last 2–3 weeks with a glossy finish. Acrylics are an extension applied over your natural nail for added length and strength, and are great if you want a dramatic look or struggle with nail growth.

How long does a manicure or pedicure take?

A basic manicure typically takes about 30–45 minutes, while a pedicure can take 45–60 minutes. If you're adding gel, acrylics, or nail art, plan for a little extra time!

How often should I get a fill for my acrylics?

We recommend regular two- to three-week fills to keep your natural nails healthy, prevent lifting, and maintain the structural integrity of the extension.

Do you do custom nail art and 3D designs?

Yes! We specialize in custom character nail art (including Hello Kitty and anime designs), French tips, chrome finishes, encapsulation, rhinestones, and trendy 3D charms. You can even upload your inspiration photos directly when booking online!

How do I care for my nails after an acrylic or gel set?

Apply cuticle oil daily, wear gloves when handling harsh household cleaning chemicals, and avoid using your nails as tools (like opening cans). Never peel or pry off gel or acrylics—book a professional soak-off removal to protect your natural nail bed.

How long will my blowout last?

A professional blowout typically lasts 3–5 days depending on your hair type, activity level, and how you care for it. To extend your blowout, sleep on a silk pillowcase, avoid humidity, and use a dry shampoo at the roots as needed.

Do I need to wash my hair before my appointment?

If you're coming in for a formal up-do or dry styling, day-old unwashed hair usually holds pins and texture best. For standard cuts, blowouts, or color, we will wash it for you.

Do you offer balayage, highlights, and custom hair color?

Yes, we offer full custom hair coloring services including balayage, lived-in blonding, highlights, lowlights, root touch-ups, gloss/toner refreshers, and creative fashion colors tailored to your skin tone and lifestyle.

Can I book hair and makeup for weddings, quinceañeras, or special events?

Absolutely! We provide specialized bridal, quinceañera, prom, and special event glam packages (both in-studio and on-location throughout San Diego County). Digital contracts and trials are available.

What do I wear for my wax appointment?

We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing (preferably cotton) to avoid friction or irritation on the freshly waxed skin after your appointment.

Should I shave before my waxing appointment?

No! Please let the hair grow out. Hair needs to be at least 1/4 inch long (about the size of a grain of rice) so the wax can properly grip and remove it.

Can I get waxed if I am using skincare medications?

No. You must be off Accutane for at least 6 months, and off topical retinoids (Retin-A, Differin, AHAs/BHAs) for at least 5-7 days prior to waxing to prevent skin lifting or tearing.

How often should I schedule waxing sessions?

For the smoothest results and progressively finer, sparser hair regrowth, we recommend scheduling body waxing appointments every 3 to 5 weeks consistently.

How do I prepare for my lash appointment?

Please arrive completely makeup-free around the eye area. Do not wear mascara, eyeliner, or use heavy oil-based eye creams prior to your appointment. A $15 makeup removal fee applies if deep cleaning is required.

How often do I need a lash fill?

To maintain a full look, we recommend coming in every 2 to 3 weeks. You must have at least 40% of your extensions remaining to qualify for a fill; otherwise it requires a full set.

Will my face be red after a facial?

Some mild pinkness is completely normal (especially if extractions were performed or active enzymes used) and usually subsides within a few hours. We always ensure you leave with soothing products and SPF!

What types of facial treatments do you provide?

We offer deep cleansing, hydrating, anti-aging, acne-clarifying, and glow-boosting customized facials with gentle enzyme exfoliation, high-frequency therapy, and soothing botanical mask treatments.
